PCA BOLD
PERFORATORS
- THE GRID WORK SPECIALISTS!
Greatly lessen your chances of
miscounting and ruining a beautiful half finished piece of work by using our
multi needle tools suitable for grid work.
Click
on the buttons on left to see the individual Bold Tool details.
The PCA Bold Perforating range are designed for Latin American style
patterns or just for those who love open lace and gridwork in parchment
craft. They work wonderfully in a regular size mesh grid. a perfect fit.
All PCA BOLD gauge tools feature colour coded
RED rings on handle, check them out by clicking on their
links!
Make your own
grid if you do not have one already!
The BoldQuad is so easy
to use in a regular mesh grid to line up perforations or follow a particular
grid pattern, it fits the larger/regular mesh grid perfectly. One can even
use a frying-pan splatter guard from your kitchen as it is the perfect size
mesh if you don't already have one in it's own frame.
OR
Pin mesh to pattern if using a piece of mesh with no frame, using
drawing pins on top of a thick perforating pad.
Work
done using a grid pattern for regimented order of perforations can be
greatly enhanced in terms of ease, neatness of alignment and speed by using
one of our Bold range of perforators rather than the normal single needle
tool!
Naturally the PCA
UniBold can be used to create ANY grid pattern, it is akin to performing
counted cross stitch embroidery when using a single needle tool. One must
count the number of perforations to be performed in a row and the
appropriate spaces in between. It is much more efficiently performed using
one of our multi needle BOLD tools designed especially for the job.
TIP: All PCA Bold Perforators benefit
from occasional waxing of needles and may be used with a
regular mesh grid or simply alone or in conjunction with the aid of a paper
pattern for positioning guidance.

My thanks to Carla Prediger
Trasel of Brazil, for the introduction to Latin American style parchment craft
in my life, inspiring a passion for the pretty open lacy look I now often
favour personally.
