The SoftShader is a thicker loop that is set on an angle is is used in a sweeping movement over the area that you wish to contour... perfect for shading and contouring things like areas of skin or maybe sails on a boat? It generates seamless UNIFORM shading rather than GRADIENT shading that is achieved with the thinner wires of the PCA Shader and MiniShader.
