The PCA Scriber
is a very fine pointed tool used for tracing lines
without the need for ink on reverse side, for stippling or for general
multi-stroked feathered embossing and naturally...very small areas requiring a
pure white sharp impression to be left on the front of work.
An
example of stippling done with the PCA Scriber
When tracing with the Scriber, use a light touch and our firm embossing
mat to avoid piercing the parchment.
Stippling is a fine dotting of paper in areas desired to fill in and
create a pleasant texture. It is achieved by using the hard rubber
embossing mat or a thick piece of cardboard under your work,
repeatedly "stabbing" the area in an even fashion from the reverse
until area is complete. Extra whiteness can be encouraged by colouring the
back of area also with a white pencil.
TIP:
The Scriber is ideal for
holding extremely small pieces of parchment together as they are being glued
in 3d work such as flower petals. Very Handy!
